Sun Spike 1

I forge my sun spikes on Sunday. I have an altar to the Sun in my shop, and make offerings to the sun and request the Sun's blessing. As I forge these spikes, I chant in runes of protection, of the Sun, and of strength, clarity of purpose, of impetus to action. my intention is to make each of these a ray of the Sun. I have left them pointy (and a little sharp) on purpose. My other intention with them is to make them a simple and portable wand.

I forge my sun spikes from steel. In order to give it more a more solar feel, I heat these to about 900 degrees and then vigorously brush them with a brass brush. This has the effect of manually plating the steel with brass, giving it it's golder hue.

Each piece I forge is unique. The photos for this listing show the actual specific piece you will get upon purchase.

This pendant comes on a black deer skin lace cord approximately 32" long (hangs approximately 16"). The cord is double knotted to be adjustable. If you would prefer a vegan/nylon cord, please let me know and I'll be happy to send you the pendant with the preferred cord.
