Thor's Hammer

Thor's Hammer "Mjolnir" has been worn as a symbol of protection and associated with the practitioners of Heathenry for at least 1100 years. The hammer is believed to have been used not only as personal protection, but also in blessings, hallowing, birth and death. Historically Mjolnir pendants were made from various metals and materials.

I forged this hammer of Thor on Thursday (Thor's day), September 2nd. I have an altar in my shop to Thor, and I make offerings of meat, of fruit, and of honeyed spirits. I ask for Thor's blessing for my work. When I forge each Mjolnir, I chant into each one runes of protection, and the runes of Thor. I invoke the original Mjolnir into each one I make, and ask for the guidance and blessing of the Dwarven smiths of legend who originally forged Mjolnir.

My hammer pendants are completely hand forged from steel. Each pendant is unique. They are given a protective coating by being heated and then dipped in beeswax, giving them their beautiful black patina. This style is based on archeological finds.
